On Saturday, September 14, 2019, the 21st swimming marathon of St. Euphemia will take place in the length of 45oo m from Villas Rubina to Mulini Beach. This year, for the safety of swimmers, the organizing committee decided to change the place of arrival to avoid swimming in the port, which due to the construction of a new marina for mega yachts and an increasing number of boats, sea taxis, etc. is becoming too crowded and unsafe place for swimmers.
The destination is on the beach of Hotel Monte Mulini. It flows into the funnel between the marina pier and the buoy and swims to the finish board placed between the two buoys which the swimmer needs to touch with his hand and thus finish the race. After all the swimmers reached the finish line, after a short refreshment, a return bus was organized to TN Villas Rubin for lunch and the award ceremony. The St. Euphemia race is the final race of the CRO CUP, a swimming competition that scores points for the Croatian long-distance swimming championship, where awards for the absolute ranking in the race will be shared, but the winners of the Cro Cup competition for 2019 in all ages will also be announced.
